Storyboard Analysis
Published Wednesday, 31 March 2010 by CANDIMEDIA in Lydia Alldritt

This is the storyboard for our coursework film, there are 23 shots in total, with the final one just being a shot of a black background with the title, 'The Reading', in white letters. We think this will be effective after the opening as it will hit the audience right in the face really fast after the built up suspense.
Our film is going to be filmed in two different locations, so we will have to be careful with the editing to make sure it doesn't look jumpy or anything.
We tried to use a variety of shot types, these include;
- Shaky cam, for when the victim is running away from the mysterious person in the grass to create a sense of panic.
- Close ups of the victim's expressions, especially when the death card is laid to convey the fear to the audience
- Extreme close ups of the fortune teller's eye to scare the audience.
- Long shots of the forest, to establish the location is deathly quiet.
