Location Shots
Published Saturday, 27 March 2010 by CANDIMEDIA in Ezgi AlbaySuiting our storyline, we had to choose a appropriate set to film our thriller title sequence. Due to having quite a few fortune telling scenes, we decided to film in the colleges studio. 'City & Islington 6th form college'! The reason why we chose this setting is because, we had a couple distractions with a small bedroom before, therefore we had to film somewhere else where we had more space and lighting! I personally consider this as an advantage rather than a disadvantage, reasons being because we wouldn't have known that we had to get more props and needed more angles for the camera, which means more space at the location that we were filming. We filmed inside one of the classrooms within the college that is generally used as a studio! The room was fairly large and has tables and chairs, a lot of lighting and curtains. Once all these things matched the props as well, everything was ready to film and this meant that the first half of our filming was over. This was really easy and practical to use. It wasn't "careless" or less advantaged, i believe oppositely it was much better and had a higher quality with many more technical support!
The second and last location for our filming was a park which had a lot of greenery and trees around to create a creepy look. We decided to film at 'Finsbury Park' which is a par
k close the 'Finsbury Park Station - on the Piccadilly & Victoria line'! We filmed in daylight in both locations. We chose Finsbury park as our second location because it has a big greenery area which means we can have a lot of extreme long shots that look dramatic and mysterious benefiting the thriller genre.
