Analysis of a Thriller Clip watched in class.
Published Wednesday, 31 March 2010 by CANDIMEDIA in Chloe A MorganFor this, we were in groups and we had to watch a different film and analyis it. Our group had 'Panic Room'. We had to watch it a few times, and then write what comes in order and when. We had to see how it started - it was a plain background, followed by the narrative opening.
The way ot started was really interesting, because it was all above the buildings or high up the buildings in America. The front of writing was sharp and it didn't have anything fancy. It was done as if it was a sign on a building, which indicates that it has something to do with that. Also, it looked like it was popped out from somewhere with an zooming effect. This shows that the film might be fast paced and you get the sense of a chase of some sort. By showing high buildings especially, it might suggest it has something to do with criminals and police.
However, throughout the opening, there was this music in the background, which had a calm but eerie feel to it, which shows that somwthing is going to happen, and soon.
