Intro to Cameras & Health and Safety Tutorial.

For this session, we learnt how to use the camera properly and safely. We were shown how to work the camera and trun it on and off. Alos, we learnt what buttons to press.

We used a tripod, to make it looks more professional and not shakey - which looks like an ametuer holding the camera, if so. But, we had to make sure that there was a 'click' sound, so that it was in securely and it wouldn't fall down..!

There was different ways of using the camera - you could use different shots; over0the-shoulder, mid shot, close up etc. We also lerant the basic things such as zooming in and out, have the memory card put in properly, the battery in, and that it was all working well and proper.

Also, we learnt that we musn't eat or drink when near the camera because it could harm it. And to make sure that someone was always besides the camera by all times, so no-one trips over.

However, if we were to be filiming outside, we have to make sure that someone was next to you when filming, because the people might cause trouble or something.

We also leant how to hold the camera - with or without a tripod - correctly and to make sure that we didn't cut a essential part of the scene or that it didn't make sense - otherwise, the audience wouldn't understand what was going on exactly!

Another thing is that we shouldn't be too close to the camera and to make sure you know what to do, before you do it.

If you do film outside, you have to make sure that it was safe and there was a fair amount of people. (it shouldn't be too dark and very few people, because then it wouldn't be safe...). But if anyone does approach you, then we shouls call someone, like a parent, teacher or worse case scenerio, police....
