Evaluation Q's - 3&4. What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why? How will you attract your audience?

3) This is one of the still shots from AS Media students that I found on Youtube. This has 196,735 views and it's one of the top ones. Even though it was put up on Youtube 3 years ago, it's still a huge succuss. It's called: 'Maddy's death scene'. I quite liked this because as a opening, you wouldn't normally see a death straight away, so by doing this, it made them different and powerful. It is really good for a opening of a thriller and I think it works effectively.
It's not a loong thriller - only 56 seconds, but I think it still captures it... :)
As these students were on low budget, by putting it onto Youtube, gives them the benefit of having a huge success because so many people around the world watches it.
Also, by having Youtube as a worldwide network, it gives the ability to watch what other countries have done.
Obviously, putting your video put, you wouldn't know if it would a hit or not. But, by doing this, and people watching it makes it big. You could also start by putting it in your blog, for instance, or putting it up in other social networks such as: Facebook, mySpace, Bebo and many other things...
4) If I was to put my film into the real world, I would put it up on computers (tagged on sites) and put it up on a billboard or in magazines - anywhere where people spend the most time or pass by often. Hand out leaflets or put up posters with reviews from Celebraties or somehting/ne the public knows, so they feel more personal..
By doing this, it would definately attract a type of audience. It would be shown at the Vue or Odeon, because it's the most popular cinemas people go to.
I think it if were to be shown in newspapers, it would be a tabloid, becuase it's for the younger generation and colour always attracts people's eye!
Potential sponsers would properly Nesle Kit Kat Crunchy, as it's a popular brand and most people like chocolate. Or i would have HMV, because everyone likes music, and plus it would be a hit for both the film and HMV - linked and it gets more money! ;)
