We learnt how to use the cameras safely and without damaging them, e.g., by using a tripod the camera is a lot more stable and so the shot will look more professional. Also, we learn what buttons do what and how to focus, etc. Other things we learnt are; how to zoom in and out, how to pan, how to make the camera steady, how to change the height of the tripod, how to turn the microphone on and off, how to view what had already been filmed and how to put people in the shot, e.g. where their heads go.

Also, we learn what NOT to do with the camera, including; don't get it wet, don't run with it, don't drop it, etc. These were all obvious things to not do, but sometimes obvious things are forgotten when you are trying to film
